Adopt Finalization

In the state of Kentucky, there will be a minimum of 6 months between receiving a child for placement and receiving the final adoption judgement from the court. During this time, you will have a minimum of 2-3 post-placement visits completed by our agency to ensure you and the child are adjusting well to your new life as a family. You will be required to have open regular lines of communication with this agency regarding the health and well-being of you and the child placed in your care. If you reside outside of Kentucky, the adoption finalization process will be similar, but will be determined by the laws and regulations set forth by your state.

Once the adoption is finalized, you will then assume all rights and responsibilities of caring for your child as if you were their biological parent(s).
